Subject: Internet Policy Institute
A diverse group of corporate, academic and nonprofit leaders have
identified the need to create an independent, nonprofit policy research and
educational institute focused on issues affecting and affected by the
global development and use of the Internet. The attached document includes
a statement of the proposed mission and goals for the Institute as well as
a list of the working group that is driving the effort to establish the
Institute.

We have found that there is terrific enthusiasm for this idea and the
working group is eager to include you and other leaders in this endeavor
during the early stages of formulating and launching the Institute. We
would welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Sincerely,
Kimberly J. Jenkins, Ph.D.
Chairman of the Working Group
