HERE'S a quick test: When you imagine the Internet, what do you see?

 What probably came to mind was a Web page. Whether it was Yahoo, bianca's
Smut Shack, my home page or any other site, you almost certainly pictured it
in a standard Web browser -- Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape
Navigator -- on a personal-computer video display.

 A year or two from now, you may well have a different perception. The
one-size-fits-all Web, if it ever really existed, is going away. That's
great news.
