As you will see from the agenda below, we have an outstanding array of speakers and topics. Wm. A. Wulf was a member of the planning committee for this Forum. The purpose of the Forum is to examine, in a forward-looking manner, the emerging technologies and broad applications of imaging and visualization that cut across industry sectors. The forum will bring together technologists and practitioners with experience in different aspects of imaging and visualization technologies for the purpose of mutually informing one another and creating new knowledge and bold new ideas. A primary objective will be to achieve cross-fertilization among people working across technical and application boundaries within industry, academe and the federal government. What Do We Mean by Visualization? The Nature of Images. A roadmap session that will answer this question: Why is visualization important, what can it do, and what is its power?
