Security Information For Conference Authors For those who intend to present a paper at NetworkAsia96 International Conference, a summary of 300 words should be submitted on the attached abstract form to Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd by 10 February 1996. Authors whose papers are accepted for the conference programme will be required to submit a manuscript by 15 April 1996 for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings. The abstract should include pertinent illustrations and references to allow proper assessment of the scope and content of the intended paper. Each paper submitted will be carefully reviewed and assessed by the Conference Advisory Panel which comprises members of the industry based on the following criteria: Selection Criteria 1. The paper should contain new knowledge or experience in information technology and internet with practical applications to the Asia-Pacific region. 2. The paper must be technically correct. It may be theoretical or may present the results of laboratory studies, and it may state or analyse a problem. 3. The paper may present information about the technology or services to be used in telecommunications and information technology. Such papers must show the definite applications and limitations of the technology and should avoid undue commercialism and use of trade names. 4. The paper must not have had prior extensive coverage or circulation. Publication in trade journals, professional and technical journals or presentation on previous occasion will be considered extensive coverage or circulation. 5. The proposed paper should have obtained the necessary clearances prior to submission. Prospective authors submitting papers for consideration must be prepared to make their presentation at the Conference to ensure a forum for the exchange of ideas and technical information. All papers submitted must be prepared and presented in English. The Abstract An abstract of 300 words must be submitted. The abstracts should contain information on the following areas: Description of the Proposed Paper Summarise the scope and nature of the work upon which the paper will be based. Provide information on such items as field or operational data, design, field optimisation, research or systems development that will be included. Indicate the degree to which this paper will differ other work in the area. if the paper is review paper, indicate clearly the extent of the coverage. Application Indicate the application of information presented in this paper to particular phase of networking or internet-working. If the paper describes design or operational performance of equipment or systems, point out the general value to be gained from the work. Results, Observations, Conclusions Describes results to be presented in this paper and state specific conclusions of the work. Describes how the conclusions or observations match or differ from those presented in other work. If the paper describes hardware or operation of a system or describes an event, state specific new data or information provided.
