I want to remind everyone that nominations for the ACM SIGCOMM Award
are due by March 31st. The award is given annually for long term
contributions to the field of data networking. (I.e., the awardees are
people who have demonstrated, over many years of high quality work, a
commitment to research in the field of data networking).

Previous winners of the ACM SIGCOMM Award are: Paul Baran (1989), David
D. Clark and Leonard Kleinrock (1990), Hubert Zimmerman (1991),
Alexander G. "Sandy" Fraser (1992), Robert E. Kahn (1993), Paul Green (1994),
and David Farber (1995).

The winner of the award receives a plaque, honorarium, and is the keynote
speaker at the annual ACM SIGCOMM conference (which will be at Stanford
University this year).

The chair of the awards committee is David C. Wood (woodd () stc nato int).
Please contact him for further information on the nomination process.
