WEBextra WEBster Mosaic Communications Corp. Adopts New Name Nov. 14, 1994 ============================================================================ Mountain View, Calif. -- Don't expect to find Mosaic Communications in the phone book anymore. The company, founded by James Clark and Marc Andreessen, is now Netscape Communications Corp. The name change, announced today comes only weeks after the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, began agressively distributing reminders that NCSA Mosaic was protected by trademark. WEBster subscribers can retrieve complete details about the name change by ordering article 20083.
