Good Advice Re: Anti-Virus Companies had a Virus Update Almost Immediately for MyDoom

The advice/suggestion below would have helped me if
I had thought to look for the immediate update provided
by our anti-virus company (and I assume other companies
had interim updates as well). I made the mistake of
waiting for the automatic update to our signature files
which occurs each morning. So, I'll thank the group for
the many suggestions offered to my inquiry!

Subject: RE: Novarg - Stopping .Zip Files

To be fair Mcafee actually had an EXTRA.DAT file out almost immediately
which did detect the Mydoom Virus which they did indicate on their
Mydoom Virus Information page I know this much as I d/l it and installed
it on all of our machines and server
