Does anyone know of a gui windows tool that
scans your system and provides you with a list
of needed patches, and then allows you to select,
and have it autodownload and install them?
I can't seem to find one (needed mostly for iis).

The Microsoft Baseline Security Scanner might be what you need. Also,
I use hfnetchk, which is a command line tool, but it does exactly
what you are describing. Both are avail. From www.microsoft.com, just
do a search. Also, qfechain can be used to install multiple patches
and reboot in one shot.
