-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi folks. My name is Marious S (Just a small intro Lance:)) I recently "finished" setting up a honeywall based on the GenII specs with OWL linux. I/we (my employers) am very interested in learning from others what kind of set up I could be looking at initially to sit behind the Honeywall. i.e number of machines, type of OS etc... HoneyD, VMware... There are so many directions I am feeling a little overwhelmed:) Also any recommendations for setting up the public address of the Honeynet with regards web page and info without killing the usefulness of the project would be fantastic too. We do not own VMware but are willing to purchase it if required. However we do have a number of older Pentium + class machines we were given by a sponsor (Approx 15 boxes). Any ideas or recommendations on what we should look at as a startup honeynet? As well as any don'ts:) such as "Is it considered a good idea to back up a honeynet with tools like HoneyD? " Maintenance issues dos and don'ts... There are currently only 2 people working on the Honeynet if that helps? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Marious S. X This is being sent again. I am not sure if something went wrong or if this mail is considered off topic so apologies if the latter. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/3yo8wxneyKIAHEIRAqnOAJ4qAO7X/iCL3kim4V32ztrKbeRCQgCgpL/a /YaEfxjZ8/6CTrmwxH8m+uA= =r/9b -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
