honeytokens question

hello. I'm working on a story for the NY Times Circuits section on
honeytokens. I'm hoping to get some history and current info on how
honeytokens have been used in the past, are being used now, and could be
used in the future. I'm also interested in how important a tool they are
today for the average security system. Naturally, I'm also interested in how
they were used before the creation of the word "honeytoken."

Right now, the best thing for me would be to get in touch with people who
are currently using them to do interesting things --- even if I have to talk
to them off the record. Can anyone help out here? It's probably best just to
email me direct at nick@nickthompson.

thanks * NT

Has anyone ever written an interface (maybe via a webpage in say php) to
automate the creation of honeyd scripts? If not this is definatelly
something I'd like to take up but don't want to waste my time if there
is
already something else out there like it.
