LaBrea has moved to sourceforge: http://labrea.sourceforge.net Tom Liston has just released Version 2.4-stable. Summary of changes: * The Unix and Win32 versions are now combined into a single codebase. With the exception of some "signaling" issues, both versions now support the same feature set. * The Win32 version no longer relies on LibNetNT. Now, LaBrea should run on *all* Win32 platforms, not just WinNT. * The separate configuration files have been combined into a single, file. * LaBrea can now be configured to ignore (and not tarpit) connection attempts from specific IP addresses / specific ports. * LaBrea can now be configured to attempt resolution of all local IPs via DNS and automatically exclude any that resolve. * Better functionality under switched environments. Better functionality under BSD. Better bandwidth tracking while persist capturing. There is also a new beta: Version 2.5-beta1. Changes include: * Support for autoconf / automake. * Labrea now uses libdnet. * Dynamic firewall ports based on activity. * Optional arp sweep to detect active local machines. * Labrea watches ARP Who-Has replies to detect occupied IP addresses. * bget used for dynamic memory allocation * Windows supports Cygwin / Mingw autoconf / automake * Remote syslog now working on Windows. * --long-options supported * Better handling of input command line parameters to reduce possibility of buffer overflows. loren
