LaBrea has moved to sourceforge: http://labrea.sourceforge.net

Tom Liston has just released Version 2.4-stable. Summary of changes:

* The Unix and Win32 versions are now combined into a single codebase. With
the exception of some "signaling" issues, both versions now support the same
feature set.

* The Win32 version no longer relies on LibNetNT. Now, LaBrea should run on
*all* Win32 platforms, not just WinNT.

* The separate configuration files have been combined into a single, file.

* LaBrea can now be configured to ignore (and not tarpit) connection
attempts from specific IP addresses / specific ports.

* LaBrea can now be configured to attempt resolution of all local IPs via
DNS and automatically exclude any that resolve.

* Better functionality under switched environments. Better functionality
under BSD. Better bandwidth tracking while persist capturing.

There is also a new beta: Version 2.5-beta1. Changes include:

* Support for autoconf / automake.
* Labrea now uses libdnet.
* Dynamic firewall ports based on activity.
* Optional arp sweep to detect active local machines.
* Labrea watches ARP Who-Has replies to detect occupied IP addresses.
* bget used for dynamic memory allocation
* Windows supports Cygwin / Mingw autoconf / automake
* Remote syslog now working on Windows.
* --long-options supported
* Better handling of input command line parameters to reduce possibility of
buffer overflows.
