Does anyone actually know that Epsilon was hacked?

Solipsism is the only possibly correct world view, but that's just one man's opinion.

Other than that, I think it's reasonable to assume that either they were
hacked, or they found it expedient to claim they had been hacked to cover up
something even more nefarious.

A spammer is a spammer.

I find the language of the notifaction emails interesting: "According to
Epsilon, the information that was obtained was limited to first name
and/or email addresses only"

So, this implies they may have had more information. I'd like to know what
types of personal information the companies I do business with sent to
epsilon, and what kind of information epsilon may have compiled.
