Re: Good, bad or indifferent?

I agree. I frequently see blog and forum postings where people complain
about Google's warning: "This site may harm your computer". Often times
all people want is like a 48 hour window to clean it up before the whole
world knows their website has been hacked.

This is the same thing. I think they'll get a lot of people complaining.
Either "my computer isn't hacked I use (insert current anti-virus
program here)", or "what gives you the right to block me from the
Internet?"

A nice awareness campaign would go a long way.

I think it can be a good thing. I would like to see some sort of
requirement that before disconnecting a user the ISP provides the user
with adequate information on how/where to resolve the issue rather than
just a notification of immanent service termination. I also think that
if Federal law is going to require this they need to couple it with a
decent information campaign with plenty of ways for users to have
questions answered.

Do you think this is good? Or bad? A step in right direction - maybe.

Please share your thoughts.
