It's the only definition I'd ever seen.  Thank you for headsing me up
about it.

I don't see anything there that outlines what a haiku is, not even the
most rudimentary characteristics such as the 5/7/5 on pattern.

The Wikipedia page is much more informative.  Based on that...I'd call
this "reminiscent of haiku", or "after the style of haiku", or some
such, which is really all I needed.  My point is not so much about true
haiku as it is about anything that compels thought.  Even just
requiring 5/7/5 syllables probably demands enough thought to improve
matters.

But, hm, let's see.
