Still a very, very narrow chance to succeed.

My quote of the day:

A verdict of $222,000.00, for infringement of 24 song files
worth a total of $23.76?

In a case where there was zero evidence of the defendant having
transferred any of those files?

It is one of the most irrational things I have ever seen in my
life in the law.

I agree with Alex -- I think it's very awful. It sets a very
unfortunate precedent and emboldens the RIAA (and the MPPA, actually)
to start suing every John Doe in sight, serving discovery orders,
etc.

This sets a very, very dangerous precedent, even if the poor girl
was actually guilty of the charge.

Now the courts have opened the floodgates for complete, and utter
control, of all media.

Enjoy.
