RE: Security Vendor Bypasses Microsoft's Vista PatchGuard

The corporates will soon start asking "do you hae a 64 bit/Vista
version", and if you don't, you lost a checkmark on the tick list. So
vendors want to get such a version ASAP, even though they know they
won't sell much for a while. 

They have those versions. For instance see
http://www.symantec.com/enterprise/products/sysreq.jsp?pcid=1001&pvid=83
9_1 for Symantec's 64-bit corporate AV client. It's not as capable as
their 32-bit client for reasons they've made famous. I'm sure all the
major players have similarly-limited versions.
