'Spyware' husband gets life for killing wife   

A jealous husband savagely murdered his wife by stabbing her in the face
after spyware he fitted to her computer and mobile phone convinced him she
was having an affair, a court has heard.

Jonathan Howarth became so paranoid that his high school sweetheart he
married in 2003 was being unfaithful that he rigged her car, computer and
mobile with sophisticated monitors.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the 28-year-old male spent £100 on spyware
and fitted voice-activated tape recorders in the car of Andrea Howarth – an
IT teacher – to catch her in the act.

Evidence reportedly presented at court suggests that on the night she died,
Mr Howarth found an e-mail hinting his wife had ended the affair – but text
messages he read later stoked his fears.
