Let's see... they let me take my laptop as carry-on.  I could pop a battery
and whack somebody upside the head with it.  I've got CD's in the bag - I'm
sure that breaking one would provide a nice sharp shard that could be used
in creative methods.  The list goes on.

But banning laptops would piss off too many traveling businesscritters, so they
ban fingernail clippers instead so there's Something Obviously Being Done.
