I saw the same thing happen on 9/9/99The company went through a flurry of data entry, and they seemed to ride out the event well enough.
This may have been due to a few pointed warnings from the technical staff. Then again, it may have been wrapped in with the changes for the 2000 'bug', so they may have had a budget for it.
