weatherbug, as well as WJLA.com(local weather site here) both posted a winter weather advisory..then retracted it posting that is was posted in error..then the blizzard warning went up which the aformentioned sources AND the weather channel picked up on..this was later retracted saying..this was not sent out by this office..there are no advisories/warnings in effect for this area.

I am currentlyhoping to find an archived copy..:) seems the NWS had an intruder as this was very very quickly squashed.

A few days ago I was told that a local weather channel was
predicting a blizzard when there was no way it was going
to happen. I was told that someone else tried to verify
this on a weather web site and it said the same thing.
They said later a retraction was posted but no details
were given. I was told it said something like "we didn't
put this there".

Incidents.org also reported a weather related error:

Anyone else see anything related to this?
