According to this report in Money magazine, SCO issued a statement this morning saying the website was DoS'd "beyond its capacity" http://money.cnn.com/2004/02/01/technology/mydoom.reut/index.htm It also seems to me that if they simply removed the DNS entry, then www.caldera.com would be functioning. However, it's also down and has been since yesterday afternoon (when I first noticed sco.com failing). Can anyone shed light on this, i.e. why caldera.com would be affected if the DNS entry for sco.com were removed? -- Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Harry Hoffman" <hhoffman () ip-solutions net> To: <full-disclosure () lists netsys com> Sent: Sunday, February 01, 2004 3:02 PM Subject: Re:[Full-disclosure] sco.com -> slow? :) As pointed out to me by Sebastian it seems that SCO has removed the DNS entry for www.sco.com. Don't know if they planned to do that from the get-go, as no other DNS servers that I contacted have it cached. I don't know what the original entry looked like though. --Harry _______________________________________________ Full-Disclosure - We believe in it.
