If you wanted to take the ATF's approach, it's not just having a keyboard that is breaking the law, it's the combination of having a keyboard AND the Windows operating system installed....since the protection doesn't work on the UNIX operating system you will be safe if you erase your hard drive and install Linux.
Or even scarier ... consider a different point of view ... NOT having windows installed circumvents the copy protection mechanism. Thus inserting the CD into a machine with a non windows OS violates the DMCA.
