The cisco PIX doesn't run the actual SMTP service. The problem would be in
the Fixup for the SMTP protocol.
This also could cause problems with DNS in 6.3...

HOWEVER, FW-1 developed this under the SmartDefense technology and I'll tell
you it WILL break a lot of things.
Websense breaks with SmartDefense as well as anything that doesn't use an
RFC compliant protocol.

Websense had a bad issue with invalid header lengths.. But I think NG FP4
should correct a lot of this.

I believe two of the most secure firewalls are Cisco Pix and the
BorderWare Firewall. Cisco does not offer any services and Borderware
offers a few for small business and are very restrictive.

For a machine that doesn't have any services, the Cisco PIX is infamous
for breaking SMTP. Google for 'cisco pix smtp' and let me know if you still
think the PIX doesn't have services on it.
