Gentoo Linux? Its about as up to date as you can get! -e Alan Kloster wrote:
And now that SUSE is being bought by Novell (with some $50 million infusion from IBM), how long do you think it will be before SUSE follows RH's lead. Now IBM has RedHat, SUSE and Novell in their pockets and Microsoft has SCO. My money is on IBM when the dust settles, but the simple fact is that there is money to be made. The days of getting a constantly up-to-date Linux distro without having to pay through the nose for support are going the way of the Dodo. Now when your boss asks you for justification on using Linux instead of M$ crap, what's your new response going to be? Gartner's going to make a fortune on figuring all this out for those that can only make decisions from listening to them. Theo rock on!
