You may also be interested in checking out Mucus, a tool we developed at UCSB
for generating synthetic attack traffic automatically from Snort rules. It's
similar to 'snot' -- an IDS stimulation tool that was released a couple years
back -- but Mucus has more features. You can check it out here:
