Taps v/s Probes

Hello All,

Has anybody on this list compared the performance of Netscout's 
nGenius Network Security Adaptor with Taps(NetOptics, etc...) 
while deploying an NIDS? We are deploying an NIDS and wanted to 
know which would be a better option.
