That is correct. It looks like splat has the zebra daemon for dynamic
routing (ospf, bgp, rip). (www.zebra.org). Still, PIM-SM, PIM-DM and IGMP
will be supported in the next release.
I wonder how Cluster XL works with OSPF. Any ideas?

Yes, Splat supports BGP, OSPF, RIP, and others.
