I spoke to Symantec just yesterday, and Velociraptor is definitely one of
their focus areas going forward.

Apparently new versions of Velociraptor will be announced sometime this
month, running Raptor 7 (sorry, but SEF just doesn't sound as cool as
Raptor...). The various options will range from 5 users to thousands of
users, with throughputs maxing at about 100Mbps (for now). The
Velociraptors can also include gateway intrusion detection, antivirus, web
filtering and so on, and support clustering in load-balancing as well as
fail-over configurations.

So yes, Raptor is very much alive, and getting tons of loving attention
from Symantec. So too is Velociraptor, which makes it a very viable
solution going forward.

I do not work for Symantec. I simply love Raptor. :-)

Cheers
