Hello, can I run 802.1q natively on a Checkpoint/Nokia? Can this combination tag vlans? Nobody was really sure...
I have tryied it with ipso 3.5fcs7 on a Nokia IP330 and it work fine! You have only to create a new "interface" using Voyager, specify the vlan ID, configure the switch ( checkpoint will find automatically the new interface doing "get topology" on the management console ) , and you have another interface :)) Please remember that in "High Security" sites should be better to have physical separation of networks either if today it's now known attacks against vlan ( there are only old things that worked in past ) . -- Fabio Pietrosanti ( naif ) E-mail: naif () blackhats it - naif () sikurezza org PGP Key (DSS) http://naif.itapac.net/naif.asc -- "Hacking is the future of security research" R.Power, CSI Free advertising: www.openbsd.org Multiplatform Ultra-secure OS _______________________________________________ firewall-wizards mailing list firewall-wizards () honor icsalabs com http://honor.icsalabs.com/mailman/listinfo/firewall-wizards
