Hello,

can I run 802.1q natively on a Checkpoint/Nokia? Can
this combination tag vlans?
Nobody was really sure...

I have tryied it with ipso 3.5fcs7 on a Nokia IP330 and it work fine!

You have only to create a new "interface" using Voyager, specify the vlan ID,
configure the switch ( checkpoint will find automatically the new interface
doing "get topology" on the management console ) , and you have another interface :))

Please remember that in "High Security" sites should be better to have
physical separation of networks either if today it's now known attacks against
vlan ( there are only old things that worked in past ) .
