RE: [OT]Virus/File scanning on *nix servers

I'm running the open source amavis <http://www.amavis.org/> with Kaspersky's AVP <http://www.avp.ru/> on a linux/postfix platform. The warnings on the amavis web page about amavis-perl-10 are out of date; that is what I am running, and it is working well. Kaspersky makes daily releases of the virus database. At $560.00/year for a single server license, it is hard to beat its cost effectivity, and in the reviews I looked at it ranked very well. -- Michael
From: Bob Washburne [SMTP:rcwash () concentric net] Can anyone point me to an available program which will scan both files and emails for both attached virus and file types (such as *.VBS) on a *nix system (probably AIX or Linux)?
