Fast. Reasonably functional. Pretty easy to setup. Moderately functional
(lacks some of the neat things that the VPN Concentrators have, for
example). Some limitations, because it's a hardware solution (limited number
of "addresses" in an address book, etc.) - couple of niggles with the web
management interface (you don't see a rule's description in the rule list -
hence you have to open the rule up to see exactly what it does).

Rate limiting is very good, L2TP and IPSec VPNs work, logging is OK, Radius
and LDAP support for certificates works (but is a f***ing nightmare to setup
- not a problem with the Netscreen, more a problem with IPsec).

Depends on the enviroment you're intending to put it into.

Regards,
Phil

Subject: [fw-wiz] Product Evaluation Question

Hi,

Has anyone got comments relating to Netscreen 10 or Netscreen 100 as a
firewall/VPN solution.
How does it compare with Nokia/Checkpoint VPN, Raptor, Cisco PIX etc and
other firewall products.
Thanks

mjcon
