Being a unix dude, in the begining, I was sceptical about using blackboxes.
Now I have very high opinion abot Netscreens they are robust and very
easy to configure and manage. You can use cli or web (http / https) interface.
The only problem I see with Netscreens is lack of monitoring
capabilities of devices themsleves. There is no way to poll number
of sessions or any other data, their snmp agent is a joke. You 
have to login and to type commands in order to get the stats....
