If someone decides that mapping out the Internet to produce nice-looking graphs constitutes a criminal port-scanning attack, you would want to have someone force the prosecutors to name reasonable damages, right? You(You're picking on the wrong one.)
I know it's Ches, not Bellovin. But the example ought to be close enough to home... and Bellovin would be an accessory were it in fact illegal. So would everyone at lasy year's Defcon now, I suppose, which includes all the feds. :) Ryan
