Based on the technet article referenced by Dave LeBlanc at Microsoft (formerly ISS) in another forum (NTBUGTRAQ), a Microsoft's knowledge base article... http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q217/3/36.asp ..addresses the fact that a computer running Windows NT 4.0 could not disable the source routing feature for teh TCP/IP protocol. However, after applying SP5 you can disable it by: 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe). 2. Locate the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters 3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value, and then add the following registry value: Value Name: DisableIPSourceRouting Data Type: REG_DWORD Value: 0 or 1 Note: 1 disables source routing, 0 enables source routing 4. Quit Registry Editor. STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
