FW1 version 4.0 in place upgrade

I need to upgrade several Firewall-1 version 3.0b 3083 patch on Windows NT 4
SP4 machines.  The one I need to start with manages 5 remote firewalls and
one local.  It also has 9 VPN's.  Most VPN's are FWZ method with single DES
but one is FWZ1 and another is Skip with 3-DES.  Should I change any before
I upgrade?  Anyone have any experiences to share yet?
