Hi, Is there any good articles on ATM security? One problem is the current >
conventional firewall cannot match the throughput of ATM network.
Appreciate any info. Thanks.
The Usenix paper covers Classical IP over ATM (RFC 1577) security issues and it's at: http://www.fwl.dfn.de/eng/team/cb/eng_natm/ There's also a paper that covers both Classical IP and LANE 1.0 security issues from another German research institute, but it's not translated into English and it doesn't appear to be on-line. The paper is "Angriffspunkt - Sicherheit in IP-über-ATM-Netzen" and there are some details at: http://www.gmd.de/IMK/NW/HSN/ Christoph Schuba, Gene Spafford, and Berry Kercheval wrote a good paper on implementation issues at: http://www.cs.purdue.edu/homes/schuba/pub/pubs/98/jss/experiences_ip_over_atm.ps dn
