Does anyone know of any details of the exploited Solaris vulnerability?
An old and well known bug...to which there was a patch months before he exploited them. It was an exploit in rpc.statd, thus only affecting unprotected and unpatched systems. No big technical feat, just something that thousands of script-kiddies do every day. -- sbirn () security org il (PGP key available) Disclaimer: My opinions only, Fight Internet Spam! http://www.vix.com/spam/ not those of my employer.
