ipfw is Linux-only, in the kernel. Linux btw runs on many sparcs:-).

My ipfilter bookmark is <URL:http://coombs.anu.edu.au/ipfilter/>. Looks
pretty up-to-date from a quick peek. It's directly supported on Solaris,
you won't have to do the port.
