The Future of Privacy Forum ( FPF<applewebdata://5DD39035-E26C-4B03-A499-C6A97867CFE8/The%20FPF> ) is launching a new
Train-the-Trainer
program<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstudentprivacycompass.org%2Fttt-highered-21%2F&data=04%7C01%7C%7C1bcfec8d44d0452a3cb508d8cc32bd82%7Cdd4b037fe626495db0170cc0f7dddb37%7C0%7C0%7C637483865590468731%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=KnHa%2F9%2FRMKeCLdIJ5PdBVKAHJNYmTk0R%2FP3ZZzVMc%2F8%3D&reserved=0>
for postsecondary leaders and student advocates to help multiply the people on the ground with the capacity to provide
basic student privacy support. I thought that EDUCAUSE members might be interested in participating and wanted to share
some additional information about the program.

Building on a successful pilot program tailored to K-12 staff last year, FPF’s inaugural train-the-trainer higher
education cohort will include administrators, student services staff, advising professionals, librarians, IT
professionals, and others that often interact with student data. Participants will have the chance to expand and deepen
their student privacy and security knowledge and network with other postsecondary professionals from across the country.

A few other key details:

  * The program will run from April through November 2021.
  * Participants will be asked to commit about 8 hours per month to the program for virtual webinars (2 hours each
month) and asynchronous activities (6 hours per month).
  * Interested individuals can learn more about the program and apply by March 7 online at
https://studentprivacycompass.org/ttt-highered-21/<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fstudentprivacycompass.org%2Fttt-highered-21%2F&data=04%7C01%7C%7C1bcfec8d44d0452a3cb508d8cc32bd82%7Cdd4b037fe626495db0170cc0f7dddb37%7C0%7C0%7C637483865590478723%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=QJo1Ccsh272Qc6NSEvlndxo8Y8qE%2B05aeJhyu3c5isA%3D&reserved=0>
  * The program is grant-funded, so there is no cost for participation for accepted participants

As always, thank you for your support of our community,

Brian
