Dear Security Professionals Conference Attendee,



The health and safety of our event attendees and staff is our highest priority, and EDUCAUSE is committed to taking 
appropriate precautions to provide a safe environment for our community to come together. Based on the evolving 
COVID-19 situation within the country, including Washington’s Governor Inslee issuing an emergency proclamation that 
limits large events, a growing number of travel bans and restrictions among the higher education community, and the 
need for campus staff to prioritize efforts at their home institutions, EDUCAUSE has made the decision to transition 
the face-to-face Security Professionals Conference to an online format.



EDUCAUSE is working to provide a rich and rewarding online event experience this Spring. More details about the online 
conference will follow.



We recognize how much time and passion our program committee, speakers, attendees, and sponsors devote to preparing for 
this event each year, and we’re committed to ensuring that the work is shared with our community. We are also committed 
to bringing the community together in the upcoming online event and will continue to work with you to bring you the 
best security and privacy content available.



Your current conference registration will transfer to the virtual conference, and you’ll receive more details about the 
content and format of the virtual event in the coming weeks. If you wish to have your registration fee refunded, please

participating in this new, virtual event experience. Together, we will find new ways to inform and engage the security 
and privacy professional community.



The Hyatt Regency Bellevue will refund rooms canceled more than 48 hours in advance of the reservation date. Please 
follow the guidance in the confirmation email you received from the Hyatt Regency Bellevue or call the hotel directly 
at 425-462-1234 with any questions. We are unable to provide refunds for travel expenses, but recommend you talk to 
those service providers directly.
