Good morning,

Register and join guest speakers Jesse Bowling (Duke) and Joel Faison (North Carolina Central University) for today’s
EDUCAUSE webinar (1-2 pm ET), STINGAR: Enabling Threat Intelligence Collection, Use, and Sharing in Higher
Education<https://events.educause.edu/webinar/2020/stingar-enabling-threat-intelligence-collection-use-and-sharing-in-higher-education>.

Duke University has created a system for collecting information about attacks on education networks using honeypots and
sharing that information in near real time with all participants. This data can easily be used to create timely threat
intelligence feeds easily consumed by NGFWs to protect the campus network. Using container technology, the system can
be deployed in a matter of minutes, with minimal ongoing maintenance.

During today’s webinar, you will:

  * Learn about the history of the STINGAR project and its goals

  * Learn how resource-limited organizations can get outsized benefit using the STINGAR system
  * Obtain information on how schools can get started with this open-source project

If you cannot attend the webinar, a recording and the presentation slides will be posted online.

Thank you,
Valerie
