:-) I'm definitely vulgar when my thermometer reads -9F first thing in the morning. I think I'd still be vulgar in
Celsius.

Hello everyone!

First, the link:

https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fappstate.peopleadmin.com%2Fpostings%2F20871&data=02%7C01%7Cmhart20%40MSUDENVER.EDU%7C54975d36dfbb42a491af08d68c8a4f32%7C03309ca417334af9a73cf18cc841325c%7C1%7C0%7C636850923009710551&sdata=6aAPr7Ed8VWR4ItMooEsqEvl9ofrQ9%2Ff08sR9q1%2BXj0%3D&reserved=0

Now the goods. App is hiring someone to join our InfoSec team. It will be a mix of SecOps (some sysadmin for sec
servers, some python, maybe some powershell, some BIND and DLZs, zeek, the Elastic stack and some parts of the G Suite)
and Policy/Compliance (you'll get a little bit of HIPAA and PCI). For good measure you may get to spend some time on
user awareness training, too!

We have *what I consider* to be the prettiest winter campus in the state of North Carolina. If you're vulgar and use
Fahrenheit, low 80s in the summer is awfully hot and we typically stay above zero in the winter. Three ski slopes
within thirty minutes of campus, one that's close enough we have skiing and snowboarding as PE classes. Three
micro-breweries within a mile of campus. The Appalachian Trail and Linville Gorge Wilderness are close-by for the
hikers and campers.

Asheville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Charlotte, Bristol and Johnson City are within two hours. Knoxville, Raleigh,
Roanoke and Blacksburg are fewer than three hours. I've ridden a motorbike to Manteo/Kitty Hawk/Kill Devil Hills for
lunch and been home in time for (a late) supper.

The only requirements are a 4-year tech degree *OR* experience; if you know anyone wanting to make the move from <some
tech field> or <recent graduate> to infosec, send them our way!! None of that nonsense where an MS or a list of fifty
certs are required (though we'll help you get one or two!).

I am NOT the hiring manager, the position reports to my boss (the CISO).
