…and can we assume it was replaced by a suitably acceptable product/vendor recommendation?

The State of California last week removed Kaspersky from their GSA listing and the state Department of General Services
required the removal of KL and discontinued use and suspension of procurement from all state departments.

Subject: [SECURITY] Kaspersky in Higher Ed

Team,

A little over a year ago (before the presidential election), we entered into a multi-year contract with Kaspersky to
standardize on endpoint protection for our entire district. With the recent reports of the Fed removing Kaspersky from
GSA as an approved vendor, there have been one or two questions on whether we should continue using Kaspersky and
possibly switch.

So my question is for those existing Kaspersky institutions: Have the latest reports caused you to rethink Kaspersky?
Have similar concerns been raised? Is everyone scrambling to switch out for a different solution?
