Keynote speakers announced for 2017 ND Cyber Security Conference

There is a growing lineup of experts who will share their strategies, best practices and innovative solutions at the 
2017 ND Cyber Security Conference<https://www.ndsu.edu/conferences/cybersecurity/>.

The one-day conference serves as the annual gathering for information security professionals in the region. This year's 
event is set for Thursday, March 16, on North Dakota State University's main campus in Fargo.

The full conference registration fee for professionals is $125, and college students are eligible for discounts.

Meet the Keynote Speakers:

Chris Laping is an author, speaker and founder of People Before Things. Chris brings 25 years of information technology 
and business transformation experience to his newly launched effort, People Before Things, which includes a 
recently-released, best-selling book focused on change leadership. Chris enjoyed 14 years as a chief information 
officer across three different brands, and the work of the teams he led has been spotlighted in the Wall Street 
Journal, Forbes, Fast Company, and CIO Magazine among others. His book, People Before Things: Change Isn't an End-User 
Problem, explores the connection of the human experience to the outcomes of change and transformation initiatives and 
the role leaders play to pave success.

Kris Evans is a professional speaker, entertainer, and nationally recognized expert on identity theft. Kris is a 
certified identity theft risk management consultant with Harvard Risk Management Corporation. He has worked in this 
industry for over 15 years, completing numerous trainings, seminars, and certifications. His blend of humor with his 
knowledge on the subject matter has made Kris one of the most sought-after speakers on this topic. He has received 
countless speaking and training awards, been featured in multiple news publications, and consulted with numerous 
associations and government organizations, as well as spoken with thousands of individuals nationwide about the 
devastating effects of identity theft and how to protect their private information.
