Frank, We've dealt with similar needs by creating vendor specific VLANs in our non-routable campus IP space. We typically treat them as an un-trusted network, but allow our management tools in to ensure that the systems there receive updates and can be monitored. You can easily adjust that balance with some simple firewall rule changes based on your preferred risk profile. Hi Folks, Husson University is in the process of bringing TicketMaster onto campus to work with ticket sales for our ticketing for events. One of my concerns with this is the permanent VPN tunnel back to TicketMaster for the host application that runs on the client computers. Does anybody else use TicketMaster? and how have you dealt with the implications of having an externally managed hole through the firewalls?
