I'm hiring an entry level Information Security Analyst based in Denton, TX.

The IT Specialist III will act as an Information Security Analyst on the Information Security Team, which provides 
support and oversight of the security of all university system computing resources. This position must have exemplary 
verbal and written communication skills, be able to work unsupervised, and possess good problem solving skills.

The IT Specialist III provides direct support for incident response, system administration, user support for centrally 
supported security tools, assists with risk assessment and auditing, conducts security awareness training, and assists 
with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Work is performed under the general supervision and direction of the Asst. Director of Information Security.

Job duties include:
* Provides first level security incident handling, including doing analysis of network traffic, logs, and other 
administrative systems.
* Develops and maintains the incident handling training program for technical staff network managers, and system 
administration.
* Conducts scans of the network (Nessus), and websites (NetSparker), as needed

* Assists with the maintenance and administration of Information Security infrastructure system; this currently 
includes McAfee, TippingPoint, Sourcefire
* Assists the DR/BCP manager as needed on Disaster, Business Continuity Planning.
* Assists with the maintenance of current security awareness materials and develops new security awareness materials
