We just have the basic (included) functionality. For us the normal updates
through threat prevention are often enough.

Licensing Information:
Basic WildFire functionality is available to all Palo Alto Networks
customers at no charge. These users can automatically submit
suspicious files to WildFire and protections are delivered with
regular threat prevention content updates (threat prevention
license is required). An additional WildFire license provides
WildFire protection within 1 hour of new malware being detected
anywhere in the world, integrated logging/reporting; access to
WildFire API for programmatic submission of up to 100 samples
per day and up to 1,000 report queries by file hash per day.

+1 Palo Alto. Replacing our ASA's this summer. For the price and
features
you can't go wrong.

PalAlto is really cool stuff. Pretty impressive in our 550 user

Only caution I would throw out is there were some recent updates that
have
caused some pretty major funk. End result is I had to roll back a
couple
revisions to a known stable release.

Having said that, in their defense, they are making some significant
changes
from ver. 4 to ver. 5 so I would suspect a bit of bugginess AND the bugs
were NOT show stopping, firewall stops working, kind of bugs.

Hi Brenda,

We are still using ASA but have recently purchased the PAN solution. We
might possibly phase out the ASA if the PAN works out as what others
say.

For now, the PAN is being use for internal visibility of the network
only.

Thanks,

Steve

We are looking at replacing our aging firewall – can others give me
feedback
on what you are using? Is anyone using 3rd Generation firewalls?
 Thanks!
