Hi Walter, We use Bluecat today, and are currently in the process of planning a lifecycle replacement that will move us from their older appliance-based environment to a virtualized one. Feel free to drop me a line, I'll be happy to chat with you about our experiences. -- Ken Fischer - Manager, Network Operations Communication Engineering Services Division of Information Technology The George Washington University kenf () gwu edu (202) 994-0378 On Thursday, March 8, 2012, Walter Petruska <wpetruska () usfca edu> wrote:
USF is investigating new solutions to the functions of DNS, DHCP and IP

We would like something which is highly available, integrates well or can
supplement/replace a windows-based DHCP service, has multi-level administration, logging and can provide DNSSEC/IPv6 functionality.
I've been looking at Bluecat Networks, but been repeatedly put off by
their pre-sales approach and refusal to discuss pricing for planning.
Any comments/ suggestions regarding your own use of Bluecat Networks, or
identification of alternative solutions is appreciated.
