We have just published the third new case study focusing on security awareness and community engagement in the Information Security Guide (www.educause.edu/security/guide). The core mission of the Annual C3 (Cyber Ethics, Safety and Security) Conference is to inform the educational community about the ethical, legal, safety, and security implications of technology use and illustrate how educators and parents can apply these concepts to their own setting. The annual conference has served as a springboard for schools and school districts in and beyond Maryland to share current research, resources and expertise for promoting cyber education in their own communities. Learn more about the benefits, shortcomings, implementation challenges, and future plans by reading the full case study: https://wiki.internet2.edu:443/confluence/x/CYC9 And don't forget - National Cyber Security Awareness Month begins in just a few days! Read about the EDUCAUSE Live! webinar that will kick off the month next Tuesday, as well as two easy ways to increase awareness with some free resources: http://www.educause.edu/blog/fyfthgeer/NationalCybersecurityAwareness/237009 Thank you, Valerie _______________ Valerie M.
