Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Higher Education Information Security Council (HEISC) Technologies, Operations, and Practices (TOP) working group
has developed a new resource, Mobile Internet Device Security Guidelines:

https://wiki.internet2.edu/confluence/display/itsg2/Mobile+Internet+Device+Security+Guidelines

This document is designed to help you develop mobile Internet device security policy, standards, guidelines or
procedures. It is organized into steps you can follow to define your objectives and develop a plan to move forward.
Included in this document is supporting information to help you think through, and hopefully answer, some of the
questions or issues you may encounter along the way.

Links to additional resources - including examples of mobile internet device guidelines from various colleges and
universities - are also provided in these guidelines.

This is a living document and your input is welcome. Please send any questions, comments, or suggested resources to
security-council () educause edu.

Thank you and have a great weekend,

Marcos Vieyra
HEISC Technologies, Operations, & Practices working group member
